Comments I love to hear from people who enjoy my paintings! From time to time, I will publish on this page just some of the kind things that have been said about my work. "I just visited your website and I am so mesmerized by your work! I am a student in the US working toward a BA in art at The University of Northern Iowa. I am currently working on an independent project and looking for inspiration, and I found you pieces so vibrant and inspirational that I just had to contact you and tell you so. I love how you talk about using newspaper and other found objects to make a messy background to start with, and then from there you work toward order. Most interesting!" And 3 days later, the same lady sent the following comment: "I just opened up my email and my heart skipped a beat when I saw that you had responded to my email! Thank you for taking the time to write me back.
I gave a Workshop recently and one of my students wrote to me as follows: "What a wonderful painting morning, I did enjoy it. I so love your work. Thank you for your encouragement. I havn't painted for such a long time but after the morning with you I feel I want to make it a major part of my life again. I am in awe of your work. I so love the looseness of it and I know I can learn a lot from you. I am so looking forward to next week. I will get loads out of it and I love being with fellow artists. Look forward to seeing you. Kind Regards, Liz."
Here are two other notes recently received: "I am fascinated by your watercolours. I love the way you use a free flowing technique. I am new to painting. I took a class 4 months ago and have been painting literally daily...I absolutley love it. I hope someday to be half as talented as you, thank you for more inspiration. I have attached a few of my watercolours for you to see." (Ben Potter) "I run a small business on the Isle of White and I am looking at starting a website for my business. Wow! Your work is FAB! I love to bits your great and fun use of colour. So cheering on a cold blowing winters day down here on the not quite so sunny Isle of White. Just wanted to say how great I think your real and true art is. Keep up the good work and all the very best of luck for 2009." (Kevin Jacobs) |
