I love to hear from people who enjoy my paintings! From time to time, I will publish on this page just some of the things that have been said about my work.

"Thanks so much for arranging the lovely workshop on Saturday I had a fabulous day and came home inspired to try all of your tricks and techniques and to paint more flowers in a similar style.." Anne Matthews

"Thank you so much for such a wonderfully relaxed, inventive and 'freeing' workshop today. What a lovely group of ladies; such a lot of talent and I learned so much as everyone was generously sharing their 'tips and hints'! Their lovely comments also encouraged me to keep going." Judy Kirk

"Thanks for the last workshop, I LOVED it! And it has completely freed me up! See you in April." Michele Head

"Just had to send you a quick email to tell you how much mum and dad loved the painting I commissioned of their garden; they both cried!! They said how much they love the colours and the style of the painting. We are going to look for a special frame and it's going to go in our living room. I cannot thank you enough for the beautiful painting and your kindness." Charlotte Gouldthorpe

"I love the way you just plunge straight in! Or so it seems! I am sure there is a lot of work and thought and experience behind that! I love just seeing what emerges, and the freedom of that." Gina

"I just visited your website and I am so mesmerized by your work! I am a student in the US working toward a BA in art at The University of Northern Iowa. I am currently working on an independent project and looking for inspiration, and I found your pieces so vibrant and inspirational that I just had to contact you and tell you so. I love how you talk about using newspaper and other found objects to make a messy background to start with, and then from there you work toward order. Most interesting!"

And 3 days later, the same lady sent the following comment:

"I just opened up my email and my heart skipped a beat when I saw that you had responded to my email! Thank you for taking the time to write me back. I personally find watercolor a very difficult medium to work in because of the unpredictableness of it. However, it is apparent that what attracts you to it is how spontaneous it is! Your sense of color is so profound, and the tactile flavor of your work is very intoxicating. I feel a certain syncronicity with your paintings in that the tactile, textured quality of your work is a pictorial language that I too speak in."

"Your colours are so warm, I could warm my hands on them."  (Jill Heller)

I gave a Workshop recently and one of my students wrote to me as follows:

"What a wonderful painting morning, I did enjoy it. I so love your work. Thank you for your encouragement. I havn't painted for such a long time but after the morning with you I feel I want to make it a major part of my life again. I am in awe of your work. I so love the looseness of it and I know I can learn a lot from you. I am so looking forward to next week. I will get loads out of it and I love being with fellow artists. Look forward to seeing you." Kind Regards, Liz.

Another student wrote:

"It was a very good day. I learned SO much - and it is all new. Now I can start exploring new avenues in my work after so many years..."(Eeva Gibbs)

Another student wrote:

"Wow your work is absolutely fantastic! I'm a student from Ipswich and currently researching for a personal study for A-level. I really love the vibrant colours and textured backgrounds - your style is just what I have been looking for. Anyway, I thought I would contact you to tell you that I'll be using you as part of my artist research! So thank you for the inspiration." Lily

After a demonstration to an Art Club they wrote:

"For the rest of the session we watched in complete and utter silence as Mitzie built up a picture of a riverside scene with trees and shrubs using a variety of acrylic paints including, most originally, magenta! There was an exceptionally good turn out for this demonstration so the rapt silence as we surrounded Mitzie as she painted was all the more remarkable." (Eleanor)

Here are some other notes recently received:

"I am fascinated by your watercolours. I love the way you use a free flowing technique. I am new to painting. I took a class 4 months ago and have been painting literally daily...I absolutley love it. I hope someday to be half as talented as you, thank you for more inspiration. I have attached a few of my watercolours for you to see." (Ben Potter)

"I run a small business on the Isle of White and I am looking at starting a website for my business. Wow! Your work is FAB! I love to bits your great and fun use of colour. So cheering on a cold blowing winters day down here on the not quite so sunny Isle of White. Just wanted to say how great I think your real and true art is. Keep up the good work and all the very best of luck for 2009." (Kevin Jacobs)

"Just a Big Thank You for the workshop with you. It was an inspiring day and I enjoyed every minute of it. I met some lovely people, too - they all enjoy your classes so much and clearly got a lot out of yesterday's workshop. Think of all that pleasure you are giving to all those people. You have a very special talent and I was very lucky to be able to have those few hours of your time showing us how to do it" (Wendy Nolan)
